Tmj tinnitus for 3 months now?
I have had what i beleive is tmj for 3 months now. It started with tinnitus a static sound in my left ear that was moderate. I have anxiety issues so this static sound in my ears made me have anxiety attacks. I tried to do exercises i found online for tmj. I only did the amount they said to do and after the first day it made it alot worse for me. I did three exercises that were prettty easy and it didnt hurt or make my jaw uncomfortable. 30 minutes later i had all this pressure in my head and ears and jaw. This went away after about 2 weeks. Since then my tinnitus has either gotten quieter or ive gotten used to it. I hear the static sound more from my left ear and less from my right now but i do hear it on my right now as well. It does not bother me too much but im wondering if it will get worse and if I should try to solve my problem before it does. Everytime i do one little exercise it makes pressure in my head and jaw. Should i get a splint and go to an orthodontist or should i go to a chiropractor. I went to the dentist and they said my jaw was misaligned. IM pretty sure it always has been but im wondering if it is causing my tmj now. I dont know wether i should try to do something about it or if it will go away on its own. iT doesent bother me too much but the tinnitus is annoying and a litttle discouraging sometimes
Does Anyone Know About Or Have TMJ, Tinnitus?
One Night about 2 months ago I heard a huge roaring in my ears after Glinching my teeth. Ever seince then my ears have had tinnitus, Screaching with a small constant hiss, the right ear isnt as bad it goes away sometimes. But My Left Ear is screwed. When I hear treble in my left ear it sounds warped and It causes pressure on my ear for some reason, Its like the more I listen to Treble the more it feels like my ear is about to explode, Also it seems connected to my bottom left wisdom tooth area as well as my top left wisdom tooth area. It seems as if its kind of closing my throat, feels like something is choking me but not at all times. But My thing is, Is it normal for pressure to be there when I hear sound, treble in general, It also Makes the tinnitus a 1000x's worse as well as distorts the sound. Is this normal? One day I was like, I just gotta deal with it, and i was listening to music at a decently high volume like 60 70db and it felt like my left ear went out or roared very very strongly. I thought it was gonna go out.It may also be caused by music unduced but I serriously doubt that..When I grind my teeth, it changes the tone, pitch of the tinnitus, same when I open my jaw or move my jaw around. Although I dont have poping sounds in my jaw, just in my ears sometimes. Also if it helps, Just extra info if someone is actually reading this..My Jaw was inflamed about a day prior, I was eating Chinese Food, Spare Rib rice type deal. After I got done my jaw was so jaw teeth were inflamed and I was steadily biting and grinching my teeth to make it feel normal again, it seemed like a habit though and I belive.... I did it when I was sleeping, I woudl wake up take a shower and notice lil peices of my teeth, I just thought my wisdom teeth were coming in more and breaking my other teeth. Anywayz If someone reads this and Actaully knows a thing or two I would really apreciate it, I cant listen to music right now and I can barely watch tv... I cant mask it. Its driving me insane and Jesus, If this is from music induced stuff.. I really really really fuckedup.Last detail I did think it was noise induced, but 4 hours to 5 hours after listening to music the roaring came, The roaring was in BOTH ears at the SAME time. Same exact time.TMJ And Tinnitus Are Related.. Im not asking if the tinnitus is coming from a TMJ problem, I already know it is, Im asking if other people who expierence this have the same situation with hearing sounds as me.Tinnitus from noise induced stuff doesnt not change from external music, and it doenst change from grinding teeth..Mine does.
TMJ-Tinnitus?
I've heard that getting an orthotic can help tmj caused tinnitus. Is that true? If tmj is causing my tinnitus will it go away eventually. This freaking sucks

What to do about TMJ Tinnitus?
So sorry this is so long...I have had a little bit of tinnitus for a couple years now and would rarely bother me that much, but lately it's been getting very loud. I went to an ENT and he told me I have TMJ and that he thinks I should go to an oral specialist and see what they want to do, but before I schedule an appointment I was wondering if there is anything I should know first before I agree to any procedure.I have a severe overbite with a tongue thrust...the overbite was much better after wearing braces for years when I was younger, but I was told 10 years ago that I would need jaw surgery to completely correct it which I never got , and over the years what the braces helped has been reversed. Now that tinnitus is accompanying my TMJ, I am desperate for some answers as to what I can do to get rid of the ringing, since my hearing is perfect according to my ENT. I've read that all of the procedures to help TMJ such as surgery or orthotics splints can actually make TMJ and tinnitus worse? Also, I noticed this ringing increased to about 2x as loud around the same time that I noticed my bottom right wisdom tooth coming in, and I've read similar opposing things....that by not getting it removed, it can worsen the tinnitus...and that by getting any tooth pulled can worsen tinnitus as well.I know the ultimate way to figure things out is to just have a dentist look at my mouth and offer advice, but if anyone has experience with similar situations and can offer advice, I'd appreciate it I have trouble believing that something so simple can cause such a loud noise.
