Question: What type of tinnitus do i have?

What type of tinnitus do i have? This is from what I researched Tinnitus from noise damage: Ringing bells, chirping sounds, sounds like cicadas or crickets, roaring, hissing and fluttering sounds Tinnitus from trauma or stress - Stress, depression, traumatic life events. Ear ringing, whistling, high pitched whistling, whizzing sounds, rushing sounds like water in a waterfall. OK, I thought for sure that my tinnitus, which ive had for 3 days now was from loud music but the night it happened the noise that I remember hearing in both of my ears was a rushing waterfall type sound, and then the rining in my left ear became active. was this due to loud music or because im under stress, i am 23 own my own house, worried about money, getting roommates when mine move out, you know the usual stuff. which really kinda pisses me off because Now i am even more stressed about this tinnitus shit.

From the noises you described it sounds like it could very well be tinnitus. Do you notice it get worse at certain times or is it constant? Contrary to what some believe, you CAN cure tinnitus, and their are various medical papers on this subject, so you needn't worry too much about it; If I were you I would take a day to relax (if possible) and see if it helps at all. Don't know where you go that info but all types of tinnitus can have all of those sounds. First thing is check your blood pressure. The waterfall sound need not be true tinnitus but can because by high blood pressure. Easily treated by life style and diet changes for most. The ringing can be temporary from the loud noise and of course the way you body handles stress can cause tinnitus. For some just plane exercise helps since their tinnitus may be caused by low head blood flow (that is why a lot of people try ginkgo, it increases blood flow to the head). Also just try some simple breathing meditation. It may not cure (nothing does) but it may allow your mind to ignore it. Most people have sounds going on, it is just that they cannot really hear them because their mind ignores it. Us tinnitus sufferers have for some reason learned not to ignore it. If you have hearing loss the straining of trying to hear things can bring on tinnitus since you are working to hear the sounds you usually ignore. Tinnitus is very very complicated and not well studied. There is no cure for most, it just goes away or you learn how to ignore it.
