Question: Hearing impaired, now tinnitus?

I'm 15 & lost about 80 % of my hearing in my right ear. All of my mom's aunt's have hearing loss. I know at least one has gradual hearing loss. & when I was 4 I had a rising fever that went up to 103. I remember when I was 5 my friend tried letting me listen to music w/ ear buds but I couldn't hear it out of one of my ears. So either genetic or fever? I used to have a hearing aid...but I think a friend's dog ate it... Lately I've been hearing a ringing in my left ear a few times a day, it lasts like 30 seconds. I might be hearing it in my right, but I'm not sure. What's going on w/ the ringing? I don't listen to music loud at all or wear headphones/ ear buds. I don't use aspirin that much, either. |
