I'm only 14 and I have tinnitus help!?
Ok well I have tinnitus at the age of 14 I think I have it from listening to music a lot but it was only for 6 months and I never put the volume on high So I have no idea why I have tinnitus I don't go to concerts or festivals. I have had it for over a year and I still haven't treated it... The thing my tinntus goes quite then it goes loud then it gets worse then it gets better. I haven't gone to the doctors is that I really don't want to tell my family I don't want them to think less of me I don't want them to decive me because I have a problem in my ears I already tried telling my big brother and he ignored me and noone else wants to listen to me they all ignore me. Guys what should I do about this... I still have abosolutely perfect hearing but I need help what should I do about my tinnitus. Thanks Brendan

I didnt hear a it before but since Im a hypochondriac I looked it up and now im not sure if IM hearing it I rarely listen to loud music but I did go into a coldish river and my ears hurted alot a couple months ago I never heard it only when I think I can hear it do I think I hear it if you knoiw what I mean Im going to a doctor in a few days Ive always been scared of loosing my quality of life especially vision and now hearing arghhhh What do you think?

Alright i have tinnitus right? But all the time when my tinnitus is kicking in......I can hear air changes like when someone opens a door. It's like a high pitched tone....then gets higher when someone walks past,opens something or sometimes when the temperature changes? is this normal to pick up very quiet sounds?
Can this be TMJ on of my jaw bad TINNITUS..HELP PLEASE?
hi i think i have TMJ sometimes when i brush my teeth I get this bad spasm on my jaw..it travels from teh end of my jaw to my chin area, and i also have bad tinnitus... can this be the cause? also when i bite down hard i can hear the loud buzz in my ear the tinnitus gets bad when i chew hard any ideas to help this?

My brother has just got tinnitus constant ringing in the ears . Because I am going on holiday in two hours and do not have time to look it up, does anyone else suffer from it, and how do they get around it. His doctor told him that there is not a cure, but it is driving him crazy. Any help would be gratefully excepted.

One day i was sitting down, and all of a sudden my left ear felt blocked and started ringing the ring was loud at first but then it got quieter i thought it was one of those common 10 second rings but it stayed, its easy to hear in a quiet room, a lot of different things have been happening oncewhen i was opening my mouth it felt like something was rubbing near the ears, and then when i swallow i get an annoying sticky sound, i now always have that.my ringing sounds like crickets, sometimes it combines with other noises but the are mostly high pitched, only once i had some 'ooing' sound, after a while i got some sort of noise sensitivitywhen id do something like put a cup on a glass table it would feel like my ears vibrate.and other things like when watching the television.i also noticed when i tense my jaw muscles the ringing gets louder maybe it has something to do with a bone or nerve?thanks

Tinnitus help? Cause theory's and concert going?
Ive had tinnitus for about two months now. Ive been to loud concerts and played loud music yadda yadda yadda. So I went to an audiologist ear specialist . They tested and looked at my ears for any problems, none. I even scored better than average on the hearing test. Could this be just a natural thing? Am I OK going to concerts? Earplugs though from now on just because it scared the crap out of me . Would I be ok if I took earplugs out for one band at an outdoor concert if the set was only an hour or so?I don't want " remedies" or " cures" , sorry. I want someone to answer my questions.
Do I have tinnitus? HELP! Please?
I'm not sure if it is normal but when I'm in a silent area I can hear a small but faint ringing in my right ear but when I am out and about I can't hear it. It usually comes when I THINK about it. And it is easy to phase out. I've only noticed it on Friday night after listening to music on my headphones and it lasted a while and now that I notice it I can't seem to get it off. It's hardly noticeable but the fact that I focus on it and it's there can annoy me. Do I have tinnitus? Is this dangerous? I'm 17 BTW and I've been listening in moderate levels now since Friday night. Should I be scared? THANKS

I have tinnitus In Both Ears Got Very Good For Awhile But After The weekend out its after getting very loud like would be be from loud music of the drink???? will it calm down again?? best advice please... i have it now over 6 months i say really gets to me when its loud and trying to watch tv
Tinnitus help!! 15 years old.?
it's a long story. from the beginning i started to hear the ringing on a thursday which was the day i started to get the first half of my braces off. it was so annoying and i didn't sleep all night. i went to the emergency center because i had to go on a plane trip and i wanted to know if it could worsen on the flight. the doctor said it was tinnitus and he said it should go away in only a couple of days. after 2 days i called my doctor and he told me that it was also tinnitus and it should go away in 2 to 3 weeks. it's been 2 1 2 weeks and im still hearing it. i first thought it could have been that i took my braces off but the doctor said that it was impossible. i did listen to my ipod loud but i never really listened to it for very long. i thought it could be stress but now there could be so many reasons. i'm only 15 and i read this normally happens when youre much older. i'm also freaking out that i could get hearing loss because i love music and i play the guitar. i'm trying a medicine that i supposed to help the ringing but when i called to ask them how long it should be before it starts to heal it and they said 2 months which i think is unbelievable because that's too long for a medicine to kick in. but the biggest worry i have is that i may have a brain tumor. i know it sounds dramatic but my uncle had a brain tumor and one of his symptoms was tinnitus. if anybody has any info that may calm me down it would be very cool. i'm just tired of falling asleep with the radio on white noise.i forgot to say that the doctor had checked both my ears and they were clean. no ear infections or discharges

i have tinnitus and wonder people with tinnitus do your ears get very loud when ya take antibiotics??? im taken steroids now because my throat is all inflamed at the mo having awful probs with my throat.. but does any kinda antibiotics or anything like that make tinnitus louder??
