What could be the cause of ringing in the ears besides vertigo?
I usually get it when rising from bed on waking up especially after sleep? I have been suffering from vertigo for many years.I am also a diabetic but am fit exercising about .30 minutes daily.What seems strange is that at tines the ringing goes off even without taking medication.Could it be due to psychological or emotional reasons?

Ok so I have Tinnitus, (ringing in the ears), what makes it louder all of a sudden?
Like I was just sitting on my computer using Y A and I have a fan on for noise and cooling and all, then all of a sudden the ringing " volume" just went way up and was very loud. A consent high pitch tone it is. After a few min, the " volume" of the tone has gone back down to normal. Has any body else with this experienced this? What causes the ringing to be more sensitive, and the " volume" to change? It sometimes get me by surprise and actually kinda hurts.BTW, I realize the " normal" age to devolope this is older like 55 years old , but I am only 29 and have had it thorough out high school at least I asked about this to my 9th grade or 10th grade health teacher, so what 15, 16 or so..
Who would know some 'more' reasons for ringing in the ears...?
I have had severe 'ringing' in my left ear. It doesn't matter if I lay down to sleep or sit up...I have stopped any medications that would inflame this situation...I am allergic to aspirin so I don't take it. No wax problem either. Just really bad and am unable to see a Dr. at this point.
Has anyone tried the Sound Therapy international system for treating ringing in the ears?- A relative wants to?

Everyday I am nauseated unless I am on meds that the dr gave me . My ears plug up and I hear a ringing sound especially if I bend down to pick something up. I am sensitive to heat, sound screaming kids, music and it sounds like I have water on the brain like there is an ocean in my head . A dr said I have migrains however my symptoms didn't go away when I took migraine medicine. I though it was tinnitus however I am nauseated too. Someday I would love a kid however, it is a challenge with this illness or wahtever it is. It has been going on for 8 yrs. HELP

I've had tinnitus for two and a half years and have thought of suicide many times. I'm 51 and can't bear the thought of living with this demon much longer. It's a constant sound of a tea kettle on boil 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It keeps me awake at night and grumpy when I'm awake.
Vitamin B12 defiency causing ringing in the ears?

Ringing in the ears problem?
Hi recently I've been having trouble with ringing in the ears. It is hereditary to an extent because my mom has it terribly, however I'm still only 19 and it's progressing. The only thing I have been doing new lately that could probably have caused it was snowboarding and or smoking. Are there any remedies or over the counter medicine out there that might help me catch some sanity? By the way I will start wearing ear plugs when I go shredding again.I'd also like to add that a few years ago I suffered from really bad ear infections for a while from the beach and my ears were damaged from there on out.
