Any tips for ringing in the ears?
Hey everyone. I've had a problem for a while now. I've been hearing this ringing sound in my ear on and off and I don't know what's causing it. I've talked to a few people and they say it's tinnitus, but I'm not sure? What do you guys think? Thanks

What could cause dizziness, ringing in the ears, dark blurry vision, and nausea?
I've experience the above symptoms three times. Once was today and the other two times were a couple years ago. I get so dizzy I'm unbalanced and I can't walk. My vision gets blurry but really dark. It's like when you hold a cloth in front of your eyes, but it's really bright outside so you can still see some light and shapes, but its mostly dark. Today it happened while I was standing up, and I sat down for a while and it went away. I stood up again and it came back and I had to lie down for awhile. I ate breakfast right before it happened, and I don't have high blood pressure. Any suggestions to what this might be would be very helpful Edit Thank you for the two responses. I was already standing up at the times when it happened, so I don't think it was caused by standing up too fast.
Does ringing in the ears automatically mean i have tinnitus?
I'm 16 and today my teacher kinda spooked me when he told us he had tinnitus and how it doesn't go away... well i've heard ringing in my ears before but i never really paid attention to it. now i'm a bit worried. how long will it take to go away and can this lead up to tinnitus later? i do listen to music a lot using head phones. the one i currently have cover them up and block sound, although i don't blast music at high volumes. i use my headphones for games as well. is this bad? I don't really like the idea of having a ringing in my ears for the rest of my life.

Has anybody had success with a tinnitus (ringing in the ears) cure?
About 3 years ago, out of nowhere, both of my ears started ringing constantly. I was 45 years old at the time. I went to my primary doctor for a complete check up and they found nothing. He referred me to an ear nose throat doctor who ran a battery of tests, including a weird test where they put electrodes in my ears and receptors on my head to check for brain tumors, and everything tested OK. They even told me that for my age bracket, my hearing was still very good. I've been taking a vitamin supplement called lipoflavonoid plus for a couple of years now and it gives me moderate relief, but nothing has made it completely go away. I used to play in a rock band when I was in my late teens early twenties, and I'm thinking this may have caused it, but I would think the symptoms would have manifested themselves earlier in life. I also have a lot of fillings in my teeth mercury . I have heard that this can cause tinnitus due to neurological damage from the heavy metals. All I know is that I need to find some relief. Thanks.

Earwax causing ringing in the ear?
i went to the nurse today after being told by my doctor last week that my ears were blocked with wax i had ringing in one ear and a feeling of fullness doc said the ringing was due to wax stuck on my eardrum because she couldnt see the drum anyway nurse does my one ear and wax comes out, great, no problem, job done...then i explain in my ear that is ringing that i had a previous perforated eardrum some 15 years ago....so she said she wouldnt irrigate that one in case she ruptured it again....so sent me away another week of putting in olive oil if ringing dont go then back to docs and refer to ent clinic...is this normal, only five years ago when i had my ears irrigated the nurse carried on and done it as she said the drum would be fully repaired and safe to do.....now i gotta carry on with ringing in my ear for god knows how long....is there anything else i can do to get this wax out or do i just have to tuff it out?thxsteve

Ringing in the ears from loud noise?
I went to a rock concert last night and it was much louder than I expected. Now I have ringing in my ears. It's been going on since the end of the concert last night. Is there anything I can do to stop it or at least reduce it?
