Question: Ringing in ears due to stress?

Whenever i think about a ringing in my ear it starts and whenever i get stressed i start to hear it. once i think about it one time i get stressed about it and then it gets louder and i get more stressed about it to the point where it is extremely annoying...how can i fix this problem im also wondering will my ringing probably be permanent

Tinnitus is usually a symptom of an underlying condition. You should seek an ear nose and throat specialist and get a diagnosis now before it gets worse or other issues start showing up. Stress definitely doesn't help, I have Miniere's disease and stress is my worst enemy as I begin hearing jets landing in my head and I get severe dizzy spells. Good luck and I am not trying to scare you just let you know that ringing in the ears is not normal (I thought it was for years). Lowering your salt and caffeine intake will help reduce the occurrences and severity of ringing in your ears. Basically there is no cure just lifestyle changes and it sucks.

There are so many causes that it would be hard to just guess, you should ask your Dr. If you smoke of course, you will be told to stop. Will that help? maybe. It can be caused by excessive ear wax or irritation from perhaps an infection. If you itch your ear when you are stressed then it could be caused by stress. It is so unpleasant that you should have that talk with your Dr. I wish you the best and you are able to resolve this problem.
