Neither surgery nor any other conventional medical treatment brings any hope for tinnitus, although alternative treatments like herbs & homeopathy have it seems brought on relief to quite a few. Some herbal remedies exist which can be used to support all body systems involved in helping the ear to perform its tasks of clear hearing and balance, as well as the circulatory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems. Some of the most common herbs & biochemic tissue salts used are • Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient. • Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions. • Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus. • Wild Hyssop s also useful in reducing pain and inflammation. • Salicylic Ac. (30C) is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin. • Ferrum phosphoricum (Ferrum phos. D6) is a homeopathic biochemic tissue salt which supports the absorption of iron in the body. The protective myelin sheath which surrounds all nerve tissue needs iron to supply this vital nutrient to the nerve cells it encases. Regular use of Ferrum phos. can help to prevent dizziness, headaches and restlessness and is of great benefit for those who tend to feel irritable, tense and tired. • Magnesium phosphate (Mag. phos. D6) well-known as a homeopathic painkiller, Mag. phos. is also of great benefit to the health of the nerves. It acts as a natural anti-spasmodic and a nerve and muscle relaxant and is also frequently recommended for stress headaches. Hope all this helps Good Luck! As to a cure? Not 100% sure...I do know there are supplements and natual options that reduce it significantly....lipoflavoniods, a product called Prime (for heariing), various herbs...for brain circulation or herbs for inflammation (can find formulas that have more than one herb combined) Some of these herbs for brain circulation improve general circulation, so do not take if taking blood thinners etc. What most people need to remember is it can take 4-6 weeks for results so if you do try something, give it time. Also it can be related to candida/ yeast in the body....so look that up and see what helps get it in check..(type of diet, etc)

Even surgery is not proved to cure tinnitus as far as I know. Tinnitus is caused by damage on your acoustic nerves and can be very annoying to the individual that has it. Sometimes the tinnitus can be permanent from loud noise that damaged hearing however there could be ways to lessen its effects and magnitude. Improving your diet by lowering the fat and salt intake and red meats that contain toxines and eating more healthy food such as fish, fruits and vegetables in addition to having some exercise might give you some results. There is a guy Paul Currington that I was once subscribed to his newsletters that promised to cure tinnitus with natural supplements, however I never tried his products because my mild tinnitus eventually was reduced. Maybe if you google him you will find his page. Stress is also a very important factor to making the effects of tinnitus worse therefore you could try to reduce the activities that are stressful to you.
