What should I do? (hearing loss/tinnitus related)?
I have been suffering with hearing loss most of my life. I have been trying to cope with tinnitus for about 5 months. I went to an ENT about a month ago and he basically told me to live with both. He said 20 db of hearing loss and minor tinnitus would be something I have to cope with.1 month later, I am back in school. I can't hear that well and it's a struggle sometimes. My tinnitus drives me nuts. I dunno what to do. I thought about going to another ENT to get a second opinion on what might be causing my tinnitus. I've also thought about going to an audiologist to get a hearing aid or at least a second opinion on whether or not I need one .My family isn't very supportive right now and telling me to quit whining and deal with it. What should I do?
