Tinnitus is the ringing in your ears. It's actually pretty common. Damage to the nerves in your ears due to exposure to loud noises will cause tinnitus. Also, diabetes, tumors, high or low blood pressure, thyroid problems, allergies, and certain kinds of medication can cause this. To avoid this, you should: * Avoid exposure to loud sounds and noises. * Get your blood pressure checked. If it is high, get your doctor's help to control it. * Decrease your intake of salt. Salt impairs blood circulation. * Avoid stimulants such as coffee, tea, cola, and tobacco. * Exercise daily to improve your circulation. * Get adequate rest and avoid fatigue. * Stop worrying about the noise. Recognize your head noise as an annoyance and learn to ignore it as much as possible. Concentration, relaxation, and masking the sound can be of bennefit for coping with this.

Tinnitus is ringing in your ears. There are various causes all with different treatments. The most common is being subjected to a blast or loud sound. The ringing from this will naturally resolve itself. Then there can be more serious concerns such as Menier's (mind my spelling) Disease which has ringing and chronic vertigo which may only be relieved by surg or meds.

When your ears ring. I have it in both ears and you just have to give up not notice, I guess since I am young I will have it forever could be the rock concerts and stuff, like allergy, high or low blood pressure, a tumor, diabetes, thyroid problems, injury to the head or neck, medications such as anti-inflammatories, antibiotics, sedatives, antidepressants, and aspirin.

My mother and i have tinnitus, I went to see a band in a bar one night and all through the set the lead guitarist played a lot of high register notes i remember it giving me a lot of discomfort at the time it was certainly loud!! The next day apx 1.15pm tinnitus has been with me ever since. To my knowledge nothing can be done? but you learn to live with it, i have been suffering with it now since 1990.

Tinnitus as mentioned is the rigning of the ear. There are many probable cause why this happens. Some is due to the disease they have like ear infection or TMJ. Others could be environmental like over exposue to noises. If you are taking in medications, better check the side effects because some give the ringing of ears as one. Hope this helps. God bless
