hello, I heard laptops can cause tinnitus? But I dont understand how. I certainly have tinnitus due to TMD but now my question is there must be some kind of loud noise above 80 db to get tinnitus. How can a laptop that makes almost no noice can cause tinnitus. Because of the elektromagnetic waves or something, but they do not have that much db. And can they make tinnitus worse thats not noise induced?

Can a pmiple in the ear cause tinnitus?. i had a pimple thing around thanksgiving and it popped with lil blood, than i had ear pain for that night and it went away....now around dec 27 or 28. i was layin down and expericed a static noise in my ear and seemed nausea and a unreal feeling which lead to a panic attack cause i have anixety. now since than my ears been ringing for about 5 7days now. and its only the right ear were that pimple was around thanksgiving. it reminds me of a static sound or low ringing. at night its alot worse. my ears feel clogged but only the right is ringing, some nasal congestion. plz help im very scared i havent had any dizziness or that since that eposide when it started and no pain

I went to the ENT today for the maddening tinnitus I have been suffering with. I went to a bar last sat and every since they have been ringing. Although I had a sinus infection 3 weeks ago, and my ear has been full every since then. Well the ENT told me I have wax on my eardrum and my eardrum is retracted. He gave me nasonex and ear wax removal. So what is causing it? He doesn't know. He says it could be, the loud music from the bar, the wax, the sinus infection, or the retracted eardrum, or any of the above. Any of you been through this? what did you do to relieve the ANNOYING buzzing?

I have suffered for a minor case of tonsulitis recently and my doctor has given me some penicillin to take 4 times a day for the next week, i also complained of not being able to hear very clearly while i had this illness. My doctor said it might be realted to tonsulitis as the throat is linked to the ears, and gave me some nasal spray to clear my sinuses. Approximately one day later, i had gotten up quite quickly and my ear felt like it had been blocked up with water. Then, 2 hours later, i started to hear a high pitched pinging noise in my ear, like a flatscreen TV turning on. i have looked up the causes of tinnitus online and it said that some medication might be the cause and i was wondering if anyone could provide me with further information on this, and to see if taking nasal spray peniclilin is the cause. thankyou,Also, I have always been prone to tonusolitis and have never had this problem with my ear before. Is it also possible that certain painkillers like paracetamol can cause this ? P.S it is my left ear.This tonsolitis infection had seemed to have turned into ulcers at the top of my throat, is tht the viral infection? And now the antibiotics seem to have no affect anymore on healing my throat.

About 5 months ago I developed a noise in my right ear kind of like a heart beat. I worked at a pool at the time so I thought it could be from going underwater too much. A few weeks went by and it got no better and was causing me to not fall asleep quick because the noise. My doctor said I had an infection and gave me ear drops which killed the infection but the noise did not go away, then I was on pills and that worked but the noise continued but less this time. Then finally he told me to take claritin D which worked and I would get the noise much less more towards bedtime. I also noticed if I bent over the noise became louder then got quieter when i stood back up. I was still concerned so I went to a ear specialist and had a hearing test which came back perfect and had my ear drums checked which are also perfect also I have no pain in either ear. Then he put his fingers on my jaw like near my ear and told me to bite down and I felt pain, which he said was from clenching my jaw or grinding my teeth and that was creating the noise in my ear which he called tinnitus. However, I never wake up with jaw or head pain and I think if i grind my teeth my dentist would notice and that has never came up. Also I do not get pain if I open my mouth too wide or chew or anything. I have also had braces in the past and take great care of my teeth. I have an appointment with another doctor who specializes in this in a few weeks. I am a little worried because I have lived with the noise for about 5 months and am concerned it may never go away. Has anyone experienced anything like this and could give me some advice or ideas?
Can Narcolepsy Cause Tinnitus? Please Help?
I have mild narcolepsy. I don't take any medications. I don't even take vitamins or herbal stuff. I have tinnitus. I am 30 years with no hearing loss. On contrary, I have perfect hearing and am healthy I had a hearing test and an MRI. Both results were perfect. My ear, nose, and throat specialist stated that the reason for my tinnitus is unknown. Is it possible that my tinnitus buzzing in my ears is caused by narcolepsy? Thank you for your answers.
