So I have tinnitus..(Healthcare professional opinions needed)?
For starters, I'm a healthy 16 year old female. Since I woke up Saturday afternoon from a nap, I've been having ringing in my right ear. At the time, both my ears were plugged, so my father helped me flush out my ears. My ears weren't plugged anymore, but the ringing continued. Sunday, it didn't seem as bad, so I didn't flush my ears, but when I tried to fall back asleep, it was so loud. Monday afternoon after school, we cleaned my ears again and A LOT of earwax came out. Unfortunately, the ringing continued, but not as loud. Later that night, we flushed my ears again and nothing came out. I've been having a hard time sleeping I sleep with a fan on to block it out , I've been feeling depressed, and anxious. Today, I went to the hospital to get checked out. They took my height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, my last period, and ask me lots of questions. I have no pain, I'm not congested, and I don't have a fever. The nurse practitioner looked inside both of my ears and my ears were " clear as a whistle" she said. She said that my eardrum is probably recovering from all the pressure of the earwax OR I might have fluid in my middle ear. She said to come back to her in a few days if it continues. My question is do you agree with the NP? I just need some second opinions please. By the way, I can hear perfectly and I don't listen to loud music so I'm pretty sure I'm not deaf. Please and thank you.It has been two days since I've been to the nurse practitioner now and it has been getting better. Still there, but better. It's slowly...and I mean slowly recovering I guess. I still would like some more input from more people, please. Thank you.

Can tinnitus cause full deafness?
Can tinnitus cause full deafness in your ears? My doctor told me I have tinnitus and said there are no cures for it. My ears have been ringing for 5 months straight and some people told me it might be from anxiety. anyways, will I eventually go fully deaf or no?Thanksalso can it go away on its own?
How long will tinnitus last?
hi so i'm 16, and for a while now i've noticed i have a SUUUPER high pitched ringing in my ears 24 7. its especially bad in quiet rooms it's not unbearable, just annoying. and my ears feel somewhat " full" sometimes, if that makes any sense. anyways, i know its probably from listening to music, because i listen to it a lot, especially in bed at night. i want to get super nice speakers in my car, but i'm afraid that if i listen to music with a lot of bass, it will also damage my ears more. so my questions are does anyone know of any treatments for this? i already know the usual cut caffine, exercise, etc how long will this last? i know some people say that it is does go away,in about like 3 months, but is there any way to tell how long it will last? and if i stop listening through headphones and only listen to music in my car, will it help?thank you so much
I have tinnitus and I'm going to a festival?
In a few weeks and I'm worried the noise will affect my tinnitus, I have ear plugs they come in White silver and gold, gold being the strongest reducing 30 decibels, will that be enough to stop damage? Thanks any other advice is appreciatedActually that's not how I got it. If your that ignorant don't answer my question. Tinnitus is a serious impairment and can be developed through loads of different factors including loud music, ear wax or medication. Btw I have the music pro earplugs designed for festivals
Tinnitus - getting really annoying?
I've had it for a little over half a year, and usually it isn't something that bothers me during the day because of all the other noises going on around me that mask the slight ringing. Lately my school work has been catching up on me so most of my time is spent in my room, isolated from most noise which makes me focus on the sound. Concentrating is becoming a problem because it's become so excessive that every now and then I 'listen in' to check if it's still going. Now my tinnitus is rather low, so up and till now its never really bothered me because I haven't paid much attention to it. However any sufferers would know that once you start to pay attention, it becomes rather stressful and actually aggravates the ringing I'm aware there isn't any cure, as it isn't a disease or sickness in itself but a symptom of something else causing it. My hunch is that because it's only in my left ear But feels 'all round' at times it could be blockage in the inner ear. Other than the obvious move and heading to the doctors, is there any home remedies or natural 'cures' that could relieve me of my frustrations until morning? Thanks a heap.
