Does tinnitus every go away when its cuased by a inflammed ear caused by a viral ear infection?
im 14 and i cry 10 times a day becuase i h ave ringing in my right ear for 2 months now and i just want slence so bad and i just wanna know if it will ever go away , the docotor siad there was nothing he could doNO im not a troll , im 14 aand im scared tht im gonna have to live with this for the rest of my life , i have not smiled in 2 months , i just want to hear silence , you dont under stand wht its like not to be able to hear silence , i pray for it to go away every night and then i wake up and its still there ........ i just want it gone

ok so for the past few years i have been getting really loud ringing in my ears when everything gets silent, for example when i go to sleep at night, if i dont have the tv on or my radi on, or somthing that makes noise, then really loud ringing noises pop up in my head and its really annoying and hard to fall asleep too.....

Has anyone out there heard of or tried Neuromonics for treatment of tinnitus?
I have had ringing ears and sound sensitivity since June 09. Its cause could be contributed to several things. However, at this time there is no treatment available for my tinnitus. I recently read about a treatment called Neuromonics that is available at a nearby ENT clinic and is touted to bring good results for tinnitus suffererers and was wondering if anyone out there has had their tinnitus treated with Neuromonics and what the outcome was for them ? I know what Neuromonics is and how it works but would like to hear from someone who has actually used it and hear their results. Thanks The clinic that is offering this Neuromonics program is an ENT office at a reputable clinic and they are making people aware of it. Its also been FDA approved.Has anyone out there actually tried the Neuromonics program and would like to give their opinion?
If tinnitus starts with a cold, will will it go away when the cold ends?
I have had a cold for a week now that had ear pain, congestion, sore throat and sinus pressure. Today, I am finally at the tail end of it, but am worried about the ringing in my left ear. I've never had this before other than for a few seconds. Yesterday I woke up around 4 am and it was ringing. I got up at 10 and it was still ringing, but stopped after I was awake for a bit. It started up again last night and has been going non stop for the past 27 hours. My ear does still feel a little stuffy, but I'm really worried that it won't go away. It took me an hour to fall asleep last night and made it impossible for me to nap today either of the times I tried. This is not something that I could easily live with. The cold medicine I took a few times has aspirin in it and I have taken some aspirin since the cold started, but not large amounts. So, I am not sure what has caused the ringing, but I was wondering if anyone knew if this kind of thing will normally clear up when the cold is completely gone, or if it's possible to become permanent from this? Thanks
Is this tinnitus or hearing loss?
I get the occasional ringing in my ears, but its not constanant and only happens every now and then for anywhere from a couple of seconds to two or three minutes. It does not happen often but like once a day. It usually happens when its relativly quiet. I am also sometimes not able to hear people from a short distance when there is alot of backgraound noise. some people also say i talk loudly but i dont hear my self as that loud. and by loud i mean yellying.So what exactly is wrong with me. Im 14 and listen to a lot of music, but not loud enough so everyone can hear.
Does tinnitus adversely affects hearing?
I have had mastoid bone surgery in 1982. That led to total loss of hearing in my left ear. Somewhere around 1993 tinnitus started. I had consulted an ENT specialist at that time. He asked me whether it bothered me. I told him that it did not bother me. He suggested that in that case I should not do anything about it and learn to live with it. Now, for last few years my hearing has been going from bad to worse and tinnitus has become very loud. Are hearing loss and tinnitus connected? Is there any treatment for my problem?
Ive tinnitus but no hearing damage?
Hi i m 18 old and i have tinnitus,i have seen specialist.She told me that it is not usual that i have tinnitus at my age i have it for yearsss .My hearing is not damaged,its totally normal.What may it be then Im going to take pictures of my ear soon with some kinda machine.what do you think?
Viral ear infection tinnitus for 2 months , only 14 , will it ever go away?
i have had ringing in my ears for 2 months now and doctor says it was from a viral ear infection and siad my ear was inflammed and i had a cold before this happaned , i cry like 5 times a day and i hate it , i just wanna hear silence , do you think it will ever go away , i dont want it for the rest of my life ........... i just wanna hear silence , i use to love lying in my bed in silence and i cant now , i hear it over the tv and it changes some tiems , is there any chacne it will go away
