Does tinnitus affect the nerves as well, or do I just feel that way?
I have had severe tinnitus and vestibular imbalance, in varying stages of severity, for about a decade. Went so far as to have steroids injected in the ear canal. No good. There are days and nights that feel as if the world and swirling is comprised totally of spirals of head noises. I hate to be over medicated and two psychiatrists I've visited think that depression isn't helping. Anyone here with severe tinnitus? For how long? And what helps? And what can be done for all the fatigue and sleeplessness? Doctors can't seem to help. Just more pills. Someone here has to know of some treatment. Wanting to die gets tiresome.
What makes short, intense pain causing tinnitus and nausea?
I bumped my leg on something really hard and the pain was so intense that I got super nauseous, light headed, ear ringing, and my vision got started to fade. Does ringing in the ears automatically mean i have tinnitus?
I'm 16 and today my teacher kinda spooked me when he told us he had tinnitus and how it doesn't go away... well i've heard ringing in my ears before but i never really paid attention to it. now i'm a bit worried. how long will it take to go away and can this lead up to tinnitus later? i do listen to music a lot using head phones. the one i currently have cover them up and block sound, although i don't blast music at high volumes. i use my headphones for games as well. is this bad? I don't really like the idea of having a ringing in my ears for the rest of my life.

I heard a repeating heartbeat in my ear the other day. Now I have learned this is a form of tinnitus. How do I get rid of this? Will it go away naturally? I don't think it will stay forever.
Have you ever had a test done for subjective tinnitus?
If so, do you remember how much it costs? I know it will vary but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure. There's a tinnitus clinical trial that I'm considering enrolling in at the University of Little Rock but I have to pay for the initial diagnostic tests. After that, they pay for the treatment.
Headphones the cause of tinnitus?
For the past few days I've had tinnitus. My physics teacher previously that if you have your headphones OVER 85 90 dB then it could cause damage to your ears but mine weren't over. My parents think its because I listen to music all the time which didn't make sense to me because I listen to my music quite quietly. I had a swimming competition at the weekend and after that I got the ringing in my ears so i looked it up and it said that fluid in your ears could cause it as well. So what I would like to know is if listening to music with headphones all the time even though it's under the amount that could cause damage be the cause of my tinnitus or it's the fluid in my ears?

Please help im getting worried that i might have tinnitus, i hear a air rushing noise in my ear?
I went to the doctor and they told me i had swimmers ear, an ear infection caused by water getting into the back of your ear. i was given eardrops and about 4 hours later after taking 2 drops into my left ear i started to hear a rushing air noise, it has now been 24 hours since it started, is this just a normal result of swimmers ear and the ear infection or is it something that could lead to permanency, i'm really really scared and worried that it might be tinnitus, Please please please help
How long does tinnitus last?
What group of meds are typically given for tinnitus?
I am personally suffering from tinnitus and was given antibiotics thinking I had some sinus infection and the tinnitus was secondary to the infection. 10 days later, and nope not that. I've had the tinnitus for well over a month now, and was wondering what is actually given for tinnitus. I can't seem to find any answers other than biofeedback and " masking" to deal with tinnitus. Any other ideas?

Is a high-pitched ringing tinnitus?
I get this high pitched noise that I hear sometimes. It's like those mosquito ring tone kinda. But it's not all the time, and I read that tinnitus is constant or just when it's quiet. But mine just comes on and off randomly, and I haven't noticed anything that would cause the noises, and it's not just when it's quiet. Is it like tinnitus? Am I just weird? Am I an secret alien agent, raised by humans, but now my mothership is trying to contact me again?
